Our Founding Partners

Sport for Calgary Foundation was established through an innovative partnership between Parks Foundation and Sport Calgary.

Parks Foundation

For more than 30 years, Parks Foundation has been a catalyst in pioneering and creating outdoor spaces in our city that we love and value. Under their guidance and care, a variety of park, school and sport projects are always under development. Communities often require a variety of support services to turn their project from dream into reality. Parks Foundation programs focus on helping communities and groups achieve their goals by promoting stewardship of new and valued community spaces and creating a healthy outcome for all.

Sport Calgary

Sport Calgary assists, supports, and influences the growth of sport in Calgary. As the voice of amateur sport , they work across all sport s, helping individuals, teams and organizations learn, improve and grow. They are a volunteer-based, non-profit society guided by a deep love of sport and a mission to help sport grow in Calgary. They increase the profile of sport , advocating positive values and benefits. They act as a resource for sport organizations, helping them with funding, governance and public profile, and work with local government to enhance facility development and utilization.

City of Calgary 

The Sport for Calgary Foundation is aligned with the City of Calgary’s Sport for Life policy. The Sport for Life Policy is focused on making life better for Calgarians every day by acknowledging sport as a fundamental human desire. The policy emphasizes The City’s ongoing commitment to support , collaborate and work with Calgary’s vibrant sport sector and partners to design and deliver appropriate sports programming for all Calgarians through all stages of their life.
